The game bay window in which the carillon is is driven in copper.
The pieces which were used for the first time in 1908, refer to motives from the history(story) and legend of Munich.
In the high part of the bay window, a "contest" is represented, to the wedding of the duke to Wilhelms V. With Renata von Lothringen 1568 on the Marienplatz was held.
About the contest a cock is attached to whose left and right page(side) is one bell racquet. In the lower floor is shown the Schäfflertanz whose birth goes back to the plague years 1515-1517.
The carillon with his(its) altogether 43 bells forms daily at 11 and 12 o'clock, as well as from May to October in addition at 17 o'clock, a main center of attraction for tourist.
